YWCA Cass Clay is currently hiring a Supportive Housing Assistant to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Supportive Housing office and support essential operations of the Supportive Housing team. This position is responsible for providing administrative support, maintaining office vendors, supplies, and equipment, and providing support to YWCA Supportive Housing Participants. The schedule would be Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 7:00pm.

Job Duties:

  • Welcome visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone, and directing them appropriately.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of Supportive Housing donations and shared spaces.
  • Assist YWCA Housing Team with scheduled donation pick-ups and projects.
  • Maintain office vendors, supplies, and equipment.
  • Receive, sort, and process daily deliveries.
  • Organize and restock YWCA Housing Units with household items.
  • Perform general administrative functions such as participant logging, answering phone and responding to in-person inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist Participants with supply and food requests and assemble as necessary.
  • Coordinate with property management as necessary.
  • Purchase department-related items as necessary.
  • Provide immediate and professional response to emergencies or crisis.
  • Transport items between YWCA locations and run errands as needed.
  • Maintain safety and security of YWCA facility by following safety procedures and controlling access.
  • Attend necessary training and meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or applicable experience preferred.
  • Prompt and reliable attendance is required
  • Must be able to travel off-site as needed.
  • Must have valid driver’s license with proof of insurance and insurable record.
  • Meet all background check requirements
  • Knowledge of domestic violence, homelessness, mental illness, chemical dependence and child development issues is essential. Knowledge of community resources is helpful.
